Dear friends in Christ

Pokemon Go!

On Sunday July 24 my son Michael and his spouse Melanie and their children Braeden, Benjamin, Kali and Brant attended English worship. Our grandson Braeden played percussion on What A Friend We Have In Jesus and a few other songs and the liturgy. He played guitar on the two Spanish songs we sang, When the Poor Ones and Oh Sing to the Lord (We sang the first verse in Spanish Cantad al Senor). It was beautiful and memorable.

My son David and his daughter Rydanna also attended the service. He is in information technology and is often on call. During the service Rydanna took a message on her cell phone. To her surprise she captured a Pokemon in the church.

Media reported numerous Pokemons were found in places of worship. Another positive aspect of Pokemon Go is people go walking outside getting exercise and fresh air. Someone who managed to capture all the Pokemons said he lost 25 pounds. From the picture it looks like he could loose another 50.

I hope and pray that like Pokemon Go you were also found in a place of worship this summer and that you also walked off a few pounds and got fresh air. Now that summer is giving way to fall may we go out and about to worship, to praise God and seek out the lost, hungry, homeless or needy.

Happy Pokemon Go!  God bless.
