Pastor Don Engel was born January 11, 1943, in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, and baptized and confirmed in Christ Lutheran Church, Rhein, Saskatchewan. He attended Rhein School and graduated from Yorkton Collegiate Institute. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon in 1966 and Master of Divinity from Lutheran Theological Seminary in Saskatoon in 1969, and was ordained June 7, 1970 in Saint Paul Lutheran Church, Yorkton, Saskatchewan.  Pastor Don and Donna Parno were married July 25, 1969, in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Yorkton. They have three children and five grandchildren. Pastor Don loves fishing, canoeing, reading and gardening.
